Yes. Each device has its own pattern; the recovery phrase is the same.
One vault on your iPhone and iPad
Pro Included with VaultCube Pro
With VaultCube Pro, the same vault stays up to date on your iPhone and iPad. Changes travel through your own iCloud, encrypted on the device, so Apple sees ciphertext only. While the vault is open, it syncs about once a minute.
How to set it up
- On the iPad, install VaultCube and choose Restore a backup. Type your vault's recovery phrase and draw a pattern for this iPad.
- Turn on iPhone & iPad sync in Vault settings on both devices.
What syncs
- Photos, videos, files and notes
- Folders: names and colours
- Renames, moves, favourites and deletions (a deletion wins over older edits; a newer edit brings an item back)
What doesn't sync: your pattern, the decoy vault, panic settings and the sync switch itself (turn it on on each device). They stay on each device.
When it syncs
When the vault opens, when you come back to the app, every minute while it's open, and when you leave. A change shows up on the other device within about a minute if the vault is open there, or the next time it's opened.
How it stays private
Sync uses the same encrypted zone as your backup. Only devices that know the vault key can read it. That means your iPhone, and an iPad you restored with the recovery phrase.
The limits
- Not instant: there are no push notifications, so changes arrive on the next minute's check.
- Same iCloud account on both devices: sync goes through your private iCloud, so the iPad must be signed in with the same Apple ID.
- Your iCloud needs enough free storage. "Last synced" in Vault settings shows the status or why it's paused.
Questions
Can I use a different pattern on the iPad?
Does my iPad need its own Pro?
No. With the same Apple ID, Pro comes from your App Store purchase. If it doesn't show, tap Restore purchases in App settings.
