| We don't have | Because |
|---|---|
| Your name, email, phone | We never ask |
| Your photos, videos, notes | They're encrypted on your iPhone; we run no server for them |
| Your pattern or recovery phrase | They never leave your iPhone |
| Anything that identifies you in usage stats | The app's anonymous usage stats (on by default, off in App settings › Privacy) use a random id, no profiles and no content |
No account. Nothing to hand over.
VaultCube never asks who you are. There's no sign-up, no email and no phone number. We run no server that stores your photos or keys. Your vault exists on your iPhone, and, if you turn on backup, as ciphertext in your own iCloud.
Why it matters
Every account is a door:
- A password reset lets someone with your email into the vault.
- A company database can leak, be sold or be subpoenaed.
- An email address links your private photos to your identity.
No account removes all three.
What we don't have
What still goes through Apple
- Purchases: Apple handles VaultCube Pro, and the app checks it on your iPhone. We never see your payment details.
- Backup and sync: encrypted data in your own iCloud. Apple sees ciphertext and its size.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Creating vaults, importing, the camera and viewing all work with no connection. Only backup, sync, sharing, purchases, feedback and the anonymous usage stats use the internet.
The trade-off
No account means no "forgot password" email. Your recovery phrase is the only way back if you forget your pattern.
Questions
How do I move to a new iPhone without an account?
Turn on encrypted backup, then restore with your recovery phrase.
How do you answer support requests?
Only if you write to us: your message and, if you give one, your email address. In-app feedback can also include your device model and iOS and app version, if you allow it. Nothing from your vault.
